Feeling truly seen can be transformative, and this is at the heart of my therapeutic approach.
I work psychodynamically to help clients gain a deep understanding of their ways of relating and being in the world. By acknowledging all parts of oneself with honesty and compassion, we can cultivate meaningful and lasting change. I have a special interest in Maternal Mental Health, though I welcome clients navigating a wide variety of challenges.
Prior to earning my Master’s in Clinical Psychology, I worked as a Biokineticist, where my interest in the mind and its connection to the body first began. This curiosity led me to pursue further studies in psychology. I subsequently completed my internship and community service at several state hospitals in the Johannesburg area, gaining valuable experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with groups and individuals.
I am dedicated to building a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, empathy, and collaboration. This type of relationship fosters a warm, non-judgmental space where thoughts, feelings, and experiences can be safely explored. I provide individual and couples therapy for adults navigating a range of mental health concerns. While I am qualified to work with people of all ages, my focus is on supporting adults, with a particular interest in the parent-infant relationship.
Individual adult psychotherapy provides a confidential and supportive environment for addressing a wide range of mental health challenges. Tailored to each individual's needs, therapy sessions offer a space to explore issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and workplace stress.
Couples Psychotherapy offers a supportive space for partners to address relationship issues, enhance communication, and deepen understanding.
Family therapy draws on systemic approaches to explore how family dynamics and patterns contribute to present difficulties — working toward greater understanding, connection, and change.
Centered on attachment, PIP delves into the bond between caregiver and infant, aiming to enhance the caregiver's understanding of the infant's cues and expressions, fostering sensitive responsiveness and a secure attachment. This therapeutic approach entails collaborative sessions held in the therapy office, where the primary caregiver and infant engage on a mat, encouraging interaction and exploration.
Parent Support/Counselling offers a nurturing space for caregivers to navigate the challenges of parenting children of all ages. Caregivers receive guidance and support to enhance their parenting skills and strengthen their bond with their child.
Engaging, evidence-based talks and workshops designed for the workplace — covering topics such as stress and burnout, resilience, emotional intelligence, and mental health awareness. Sessions are tailored to your organisation's needs and equip teams with practical psychological tools they can apply immediately.
Professionally facilitated group programmes designed to foster connection, shared experience, and psychological growth. Current offerings include support groups for mothers, providing a safe and nurturing space to navigate the challenges and transitions of parenthood, as well as urban retreats — intentional, contained spaces for rest, reflection, and reconnection
